We just returned from 3 fantastic days of running live training workshops for F&amp;B giant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tateandlyle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tate &amp; Lyle<\/a> in Chicago.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a pilot of a new course we have developed to upskill marketing teams on value propositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What the course covered\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The course objective was to teach the Tate &amp; Lyle team how to develop and sell powerful value propositions that win customers.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using industry best practice, practical tools &amp; templates, and real-world examples, we covered what value propositions are &amp; why they matter, how to leverage insights to design a product concept, and the art of translating a concept into a compelling narrative and pitching it to decision makers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/locksmith.works\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shark-Tank-e1689606399419.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/locksmith.works\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shark-Tank-e1689606399419.png 650w, https:\/\/locksmith.works\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Shark-Tank-e1689606399419-480x486.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 650px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Learning about value propositions with the shark tank approach\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The US version of Dragon\u2019s Den, Shark Tank is a show which features a panel of investors called &#8220;sharks,&#8221; who decide whether to invest as entrepreneurs make business presentations on their company or product.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We used the format of Shark Tank to teach the Tate &amp; Lyle team about value propositions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The delegates took the product concept they developed across the first two days of training and learned how to build these out into a narrative and, crucially, how to present that narrative &amp; bring it to life for a panel of \u2018sharks\u2019, or decision makers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a fun, immersive &amp; interactive way to learn the art of pitching \u2013 and the results speak for themselves!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The result<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re delighted to have received rave reviews from delegates, scoring this pilot 4.5 out of 5 and a net promoter score of 77.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We&#8217;re here to help\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a pilot course on value propositions for Tate &amp; Lyle and we can\u2019t wait to roll it out across their wider team.
